Credo Care has secured the first item gifted as part of our Dream Making initiative: a state-of-the-art Callaway Rogue Driver – signed by former Masters Champion Sergio García – for 15-year-old JW, who has Down’s syndrome and lives with specialist carers in our East of England region.

On Wednesday 14th August, Credo Care’s Dream Maker Naomi hand-delivered the gift to JW, who was thrilled to open the ribbon-wrapped package and spot the gold-coloured signature of golf legend Sergio García. JW immediately took the driver out for a few practice swings in his back garden.

Naomi had reached out to the team at Callaway Golf Europe after learning about sports-mad JW’s interest in golf and frequent trips to his local driving range with his foster brother.

Chelsea Levi, EMEA Marketing Executive at Callaway, was happy to source the state-of-the-art golfing club to gift to JW and even arranged for Callaway Tour Professional Sergio García to sign the driver head for the aspiring golfer:

"We’re delighted that we’ve been able to surprise this young golf fan with a Rogue Driver, which has been signed by one of our Tour Professionals – and former Masters Champion – Sergio García."

"Everybody at Callaway Golf Europe wishes this young man the best, and we hope he loves his new driver and continues to love the game of golf.”

Independent fostering provider Credo Care specialises in the care of children with disabilities, complex medical needs and learning difficulties. Since 2000, we have provided stable, professional and long-term family foster care for children with additional needs.

Our Dream Making project aims to make real the dreams, interests, and wishes of children placed with our specialist foster carers. It is a cornerstone project for our agency as we move towards the aim of providing a service that extends past regulatory expectations of ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ provision.

Dream Maker Naomi is thrilled to have helped fulfil another dream, this time for an amazing young man who lives in the agency’s East of England region:

"When I heard about JW’s penchant for golf and how much he enjoys trips to the driving range with his foster brother, I was keen to secure him a high-quality club from our friends at Callaway Golf Europe. I am grateful to Chelsea Levi and her team for not only gifting one of their state-of-the-art drivers to JW but also ensuring it was signed by golf legend Sergio García."

"I wish JW the best with his future sporting career and hope the signed Callaway Driver inspires him to keep on golfing!"
