I am a Social Worker to a disabled young person who is placed with foster carers who work for Credo Care. The young person has severe learning and physical disabilities and his condition is life limiting. This young man does not verbally communicate usually or use sign language. His main communication systems are through eye pointing, body language and facial expression.
Throughout the time that I have had involvement with the young man’s foster carers I have been extremely impressed with the quality of service they provide. They are extremely knowledgeable around the young person’s disability, are absolutely “tuned in” to his best interests, completely dedicated to his well-being and have, at times, gone well beyond what was reasonably expected of them in respect of enabling contact with the young persons birth family.
With regard to the support which the agency offers to the foster carers, I have been told by the carers themselves that they always feel supported by Credo Care and usually get an instant response to any request which they make.
The foster carers have a support worker, who is provided by Credo Care. This enables them some time each week to pursue their own activities or interest whilst the support worker cares for the young person. Credo Care staff have always been quick to respond to any request which I may make or have, in my experience, always operated in a professional manner.
My overall view of Credo Care is that they provide a competent, thorough and professional service and are supported of the carers that work for them. During the time which I have dealt with Credo Care my experience has been totally positive and I would not hesitate to recommend them to others.”
